Our CosPlay customer, who found us through Tandy Leather, liked the Ammo pouches that I made for him so much that he asked if I would be willing to make these pouches for him from a picture that he sent me via email. He likes to challenge me with various items made from leather that he wants to use to build his Arc Trooper costume. He provided the dimensions that he wanted for these pouches, so, with those in hand, I sat down again with my engineering ruler and pencil and went to work.
I used the picture to scale the dimensions and estimate the individual dimensions of each piece of the pouch. I determined that the body of the pouch would be constructed of two pieces of leather, one Black and one a grayish Silver. The Silver piece would reach all the way down and be glued inside the Black piece and all held together with black rivets at the back of the pouch. The pouch lid would function just like it looks with 4 silver rivets at the back and velcro, instead of snaps, glued and stitched to hold the flap at the front. The stitches are covered by the two bars on the front, which were also shown in the picture. I added belt loops on the back of the pouches as he requested. When he came to pick them up he said that really liked them. I must admit that they did turn out rather nicely and completely functional as well. Until next time, All the best. Frank, the Leather Guy
