deer Antler leather knife sheath

This handcrafted leather knife sheath was requested by a customer whose father had made a knife handle out of a deer antler. The customer did not want the pommel end of the knife to poke him in the side when he wore the leather sheath, so, I designed the sheath with a high back and keeper to protect the body from the pommel.

After creating a custom template for the knife, I assembled the sheath and did a double loop lace around the edge of the sheath for that timeless handmade look. The belt loop was riveted below the handle back of the sheath as was requested.
